‘Furious 7′ Hits $1.15 Billion Worldwide to Become 7th Highest-Grossing Film Ever

“Furious 7″ is now the seventh highest-grossing film of all time with a worldwide haul of $1.15 billion.

The fast cars follow-up topped foreign charts last weekend, remaining the No. 1 film in the world for the third week in a row. Internationally, “Furious 7″ made $167.9 million across 67 territories.

It is Universal’s highest-grossing film worldwide.

“Furious 7″ opened in its final foreign territory,

putting up $6 million in Japan. The big story, however, is China, where “Furious 7″ has made $250.5 million in its first eight days of release. It ranks as the second highest-grossing American film to hit the People’s Republic, behind only “Transformers: Age of Extinction’s” $320 million haul. Of course, the “Transformers” sequel benefited from filming extensively in China, an advantage “Furious 7″ did not enjoy.

DreamWorks Animation’s “Home” tied for second place on the foreign charts with “Ever Since We Love,” an adaptation of Chinese novel “Grow.” Both films earned $10.4 million. “Home” has earned $271.6 million since debuting in March, ranking as a much-needed win for the struggling DreamWorks Animation, a studio that has been buffeted by film flops and failed corporate sales.

Disney’s “Cinderella” scored a fourth place finish, earning $7.5 million and bringing its global total to $457.7 million.

Sony’s “

Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2″ snagged fifth position on the charts, bringing in $7.1 million. The comedy about a hapless shopping center cop earned $34.1 million total in its first weekend in theaters.

‘Outlander’ Stars Talk Claire’s Choice, Geillis’ Sacrifice in ‘The Devil’s Mark’

In the April 18 episode of “Outlander,” titled “The Devil’s Mark,” Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Geillis (Lotte Verbeek) found themselves accused of witchcraft, and it didn’t take long before the suspicions and superstitions of their eighteenth century captors led to the pair being declared guilty and sentenced to burn at the stake. It was a pivotal episode for Claire as a character, and for her relationship with Jamie (Sam Heughan), so Variety spoke to the two stars — along with executive producer Ron Moore — to learn more about filming the dramatic hour, and what the revelations of episode 111 mean for the couple.

For much of the hour, the focus was on Claire and her relationship with Geillis — a woman whose motivations have remained shrouded in mystery for much of the season so far. “It’s great to watch these two women. There’s so much tension and animosity between them in the beginning and then they slowly have to learn [to understand each other],” Balfe said of the pair’s tumultuous journey over the course of the episode. “Claire can be very judgmental and very ‘this is black and white,’ and I think she has to learn with Geillis that no, it’s not black and white. There are reasons behind her actions and there are reasons bigger than herself, and she really has to learn to empathize with her.”

Jamie arrived in time to interrupt Claire being beaten — but it was the quick thinking of Geillis that saved Claire’s life and cleared her name, with the enigmatic woman declaring that she was a witch and revealing “the devil’s mark” on her arm — which was actually a scar from the smallpox vaccine, proving to Claire that she was a fellow traveler who had also somehow ended up in 1743 from the future, hailing from the year 1968.

Executive producer Ron Moore admitted that the witch trial and Geillis’ unexpected reveal was one of the scenes he was most eager to adapt from Diana Gabaldon’s book. “You’re in this witch trial, which is all about superstition and madness and crowd dynamics and all this injustice, and you’re paying attention to that, so the time travel thing really is a great surprise. It’s a turn that you really don’t see coming if you don’t know the book, so I was always looking forward to getting to do that part of the tale.”

As a result, in one of the most chilling and evocative scenes in the series so far, Geillis was dragged out of the courthouse by a mob of villagers to be burned alive, while Claire and Jamie made a surreptitious exit.

“It was filmed in a real church. It’s a real location in Scotland. I spent several days in that location,” Moore recalled. “Mike Parker was the director. It took a lot of time and a lot of extras; [we were] working with the extras a lot because they have to sit in those pews for hour after hour in those costumes on hard benches. So that was tricky and it took a long time to get the tone right, and it was a challenging piece of business, but we knew the visuals were going to be so strong and that moment of her being carried away was going to be such a great end to it all that everyone got excited and there was really a great spirit on the set, because they knew this was going to be cool.”

Balfe admitted that she found Geillis’ sacrifice extremely affecting, noting that it served as a major turning point for Claire’s journey. “It’s heartbreaking, what Geillis does for her,” Balfe said. “That moment she’s being carried out, it’s so epic, and Lotte was so great… From there, everything changes. It’s like, ‘hold on a minute, so it is possible. You’re from there — are there more?’ So it opens up this whole other storyline that we will see progress a little bit in this season and then towards the next season, which I think is fantastic.”

Emilia Clarke, Emilia arkCle of Thrones S Williams Deceason 5 the "Year of the Women"

Ladies, leave your men at home

As seen in the April 12 season 5 premiere, "the Spider" Lord Varys corrects Tyrion Lannister when he presumes the next ruler to take the Iron Throne will be a male. "Who said it was a 'he,'" Varys slyly asked Lannister, hinting of his support for Targaryen (Clarke).

PHOTOS: Game of Thrones — what the cast looks like in real life

"It is always the year of the women," Conleth Hill, who plays Lord Varys, elaborated to Us Weekly last month at the event. "You have all strong women on the show."

Mother of Dragons Clarke, meanwhile, told Us that Dany's latest developments prove why she's one of the most powerful characters on the show. "You'll get to see the fire in her belly," she noted. "You'll see a bit of the Targaryen coming out. And her dragons, bloody teenagers! They are beginning to act up and she's beginning to understand how to wield their power."

That's right — Clarke told Us that her character is ready to rule Westeros. "I think she's getting ready for the Iron Throne," she mused to Us. "That's for sure. She has a very clear idea this season and we're getting there. I think it is finding the right balance of good and evil, because you need them both to be a good leader."

There are, however, multiple obstacles obstructing Clarke from the Iron Throne, including the Lannisters, the Tyrells, the Starks, and other competing families in the realm. "Her quest is what it has always been to get to the Iron Throne and sit on it," Clarke noted of the Targaryen princess. "What she has to be afraid of this season are the people of Meereen. She thought she could please everyone by doing what she perceived to be good, but she's now beginning to understand that you have to please both sides of the coin if you are going to be a leader."

Meanwhile, Dany will have the support of her loyal sidekick Missandei, played by actress Nathalie Emmanuel. "[Daenerys] gave her a calling and a purpose, so yes, I think [Missandei] is 100 percent loyal to her," Emmanuel told Us. "I've been given no reason to think otherwise. They are both very strong women and they recognize that in each other, so [Missandei will never] go against her."

PHOTOS: The most shocking on-screen deaths

Adorably, Emmanuel told Us that the two have developed a strong bond in real life. "Emilia is so much fun and she's such a joy to work with," she told Us with a giggle. "We have such a good time together and I couldn't ask for a lovelier girl to work with. Walking into a production like this can be quite intimidating, and she's taken me in like a big sister. I just love her."

Dany's empowering characteristics also spill over to real life. "We love Beyonce," Emmanuel said. "She's very girl power and we often have a little sing and dance that's very girl power on set. So we always have a laugh at that."

Meanwhile, another strong female lead spoke to Us about her latest character developments. Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, said this season would be one of adaptation for the youngster — as if the last four seasons weren't harrowing enough for the Stark family.

PHOTOS: Stars' shocking secrets

"I think it's time she had a little bit of a change. I hope people go with it instead of saying I miss the old Arya! It's not really new Arya, it's just broadening and adapting," she told Us. "Just because she's wearing a dress, I don't think she's more girly. And this new Arya, I like to think she's more like me because she's a lot more tactical. Arya before kind of made a decision and dealt with the consequences afterward. But this new Arya thinks about things a bit more and I like that. Arya this season is like a sponge, because she's learning. Before she'd say I'm going to do this and I'm going to do that. But now she takes a step back. And I think she's letting that soak in for this new season."

Clarke told Us that she would eventually like to see her character cross paths with the headstrong, independent Arya Stark — but not to compete for the chance to rule the seven kingdoms. "I think they would get on quite well," Clarke said. "She's one to watch out for, that's for sure. But I could see a meeting of the minds."

! Emilia Clarke, Maisie Williams, and more leading ladies of HBO's Game of Thrones have declared the ongoing season 5 as the "year of the women." Here, Us Weekly finds out why strong female characters like Daenerys Targaryen and Arya Stark will finally have their golden moments on the series, as opposed to the men.

Tamin Iqbal stars credit in Bangladesh's historic win over Pakistan

Tamim Iqbal smashed a second consecutive century to steer Bangladesh to their first ever one-day series win over Pakistan with an emphatic seven-wicket victory in Dhaka on Sunday

The left-handed opener hit an unbeaten run-a-ball 116 as the hosts, chasing Pakistan's 239 for six, cruised home in the 39th over to take an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
The new-look Pakistan, with just four World Cuppers in their ranks and led for the first time in a series by Azhar Ali, needed a massive improvement after their 79-run defeat in Friday's opening match.

But a top-order collapse pushed them in a corner and left the tourists seeking a consolation win in the third and final match at the same Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza, who had missed the opening match due to a one-match ban for his team's slow over-rates at the World Cup, wanted his team to push for a 3-0 whitewash.

"The boys are obviously very happy, but the job is not done yet because we have one more match to go," he said. "This one was almost a perfect match for us and we want to continue like this.

"Tamim and Rahim have been brilliant with the bat in this series and Shakib has led from the front with the ball."

Pakistan's Ali said the two games so far were were a learning exercise for his young, inexperienced team.

"I don't think 240 was enough on this good wicket and that was because we did not bat well at the top," he said.

"But as everyone knows, Pakistan are in the process of rebuilding. The boys will learn from this and help them come back strongly. We have to trust the younger players and be patient with them

Saad Nasim and Wahab Riaz hit unbeaten half-centuries to lift Pakistan to a seemingly competitive score after they were reduced to 77-5 by the 22nd over of the day-night international.

Tamim, who made 132 in the previous match, made a mockery of the target after racing to his half-century off just 31 balls.
Junaid Khan removed fellow-opener Soumya Sarker cheaply for 17, but Tamim calmed the home supporters' nerves with three successive boundaries off both Saeed Ajmal and Wahab Riaz.

By the time Ajmal bowled Mahmdullah for 17 to give Pakistan their second wicket, Bangladesh had taken control of the game by reaching 100 in just 14 overs.

Mushfiqur Rahim, who also hit a century in the first game, continued his good form with 65 off 70 balls as Bangladesh ended their series drought against Pakistan with 71 ball deliveries to spare.

Shakib Al Hasan hit the winning run soon after Tamim, who struck 17 fours and six, completed his sixth one-day century by gliding Junaid to fine-leg.

Earlier, Nasim was unbeaten on 77 in only his second international and Riaz struck 51 off 40 balls as Pakistan crossed the 200-run mark on the slow pitch.

Nasim began the rescue act by adding 77 for the sixth wicket with Haris Sohail, who made 44.

Ali and Sarfraz Ahmed put on an opening stand of 36 before the top-order crumbled in dramatic fashion.

Mortaza, playing his 150th one-day international, claimed one wicket when he took a return catch to end Sohail's resistance.

Pakistan will also play a Twenty20 match and two Tests on their month-long tour of Bangladesh.

Sakib Al Hasan said-'One of Tamim's best innings'

Tamim Iqbal's 132 against Pakistan on Friday was his first ODI ton since March 2013 against Sri Lanka © AFP

Mushfiqur Rahim was surprised to get the Man-of-the-Match award after Friday's first ODI against Pakistan. He had scored a century, that too the third fastest by a Bangladeshi batsman in an ODI, and taken a catch. He was also involved in Bangladesh's highest ODI partnership for any wicket with Tamim Iqbal. Still, Mushfiqur felt that it was Tamim's 132 which had more impact on Bangladesh's highest-ever score in an ODI of 329 for 6. However, the judges thought differently.
"I tried to remind him of one thing," Mushfiqur said of Tamim after Bangladesh's 79-run win on Friday. "He used to get out in the 50s, 60s and 70s. I told him he cannot go for the shots until the last five overs because a new batsman can't come and start hitting from the onset. He took calculative risks. I was very surprised to get the Man-of-the-Match award. He deserved it."
This was Tamim's first ODI hundred in two years. He had broken his Test century hoodoo in the series against Zimbabwe last year, after which he looked relieved. A knee injury hampered his World Cup preparation and he made one significant score in the tournament, ending it with 155 runs at an average of 25.66. Every low score was greeted by derision on social media. Internet trolls and memes vilified Tamim, while there was always the odd question through traditional media about his place in the team.
There was an understanding that given his run of low scores, he shouldn't have played the warm-up match in Fatullah. He made just nine, further denting his confidence on the eve of the match.
Yet Tamim struck back on Friday with his fifth ODI hundred, a match-winning one at that. The duo of Mushfiqur and Tamim added 178 runs in just 21.4 overs, completely changing the course of the game as Bangladesh were 67 for two when Mahmudullah fell at the end of the 20th over. By the time Tamim got out, Bangladesh were looking towards a 300-run score.
Tamim didn't come to the post-match press conference so Mushfiqur and Shakib Al Hasan had to field many questions related to Tamim. Shakib praised Tamim's effort and said that it was one of the best innings he had seen of the batsman.
"It was an extraordinary innings," Shakib said. "To be honest, he was under some pressure but his batting didn't show any nerve. It is definitely one of his best innings. The way him and Mushfiqur batted, it was the turning point in the game. I think Tamim played the way he usually plays."
Mushfiqur said that he enjoyed Tamim's celebration which included a gesture towards the stands for the amount of talk on him. He said that patience should be shown with Tamim, because even though he has been going through a lean trot Tamim's last big innings wasn't too long ago.
'I think it was easy to understand [his celebration]," Mushfiqur said. "There was a lot of talk about him in the last 4-5 months. I believe there are very few accomplished batsman in Bangladesh. He got out to good balls in the last few games. People get out to bad balls. A batsman can go through a bad time.
"There were many batsmen in the World Cup who didn't score more than 200 runs. He had one very important score in the World Cup. We couldn't have won that game against Scotland had he not done well in that game. If we lost that game, we probably wouldn't have made it to the quarterfinals. It is not entirely the media's fault. There will always be criticism. We don't need support in a good time, rather we need it in bad time. I think his celebration was great. I liked it. I hope Tamim will play more big innings in the future."

James Anderson surpassed Sir Ian Botham as England's highest Test wicket-taker with his 384th dismissal in his 100th match

Anderson: Ramdin's scalp set an England Test record

Anderson said: "Taking over from an English legend is a hugely proud moment for me.
"I love taking wickets for England. You pick up milestones along the way and it was a huge landmark for me picking up 100 Tests this week."
Botham, commentating on Sky Sports, said: "I couldn't be happier. I've enjoyed watching him bowl; he richly deserves it.
"He's a magnificent performer. When you are a swing bowler you've got to learn how to do it, and the ball he got the wicket with was a terrific delivery."
Asked how many wickets Anderson could take before retiring, Botham said: "He can do 450 easily."
Former England captain Michael Vaughan told Test Match Special: "What a bowler Jimmy Anderson has been for England - a joy to watch throughout the years."

Anderson, 32, had West Indies' Denesh Ramdin caught at first slip on the final day of the first Test in Antigua.
The seamer, who began the Test on 380 wickets, was mobbed by his team-mates as his family celebrated in the crowd.
Ramdin's departure left West Indies 294-7, but Jason Holder's unbeaten 103 helped them secure a draw.
Lancashire's Anderson, who made his Test debut in 2003, has helped England win three Ashes series and rise to the top of the Test rankings in 2011

How Anderson made history...

All-rounder Botham took 383 wickets in 102 Tests between 1977 and 1992, as well as scoring 5,200 runs at an average of 33.54.
Anderson bettered Botham's tally in two matches fewer as England pressed for victory at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in the first Test of the three-match series.
Having taken two wickets in the first innings, he had Marlon Samuels taken at gully midway through the morning session to move level with Botham.

Gwyneth Paltrow Fails Food Stamp Challenge

Gwyneth Paltrow had been challenged by chef Mario Batali

Gwyneth Paltrow has lasted only four days after being challenged to live for a week on $29 - the equivalent of what low-income families in the US get in food stamps.

The Hollywood mega star and life-style guru said she broke the pledge to have "some chicken and fresh vegetables (and in full transparency, half a bag of black liquorice)".

Days ago Paltrow posted a photo on social media to show what she had bought with $29 (£16) - or slightly more because "things like avocados and limes are cheap in Southern California".

"As I suspected, we only made it through about four days," she wrote.

"My perspective has been forever altered by how difficult it was to eat wholesome, nutritious food on that budget, even for just a few days - a challenge that 47 million Americans face every day, week, and year."

The actress said that many "hardworking mothers are being asked to do the impossible: Feed their families on a budget which can only support food businesses that provide low-quality food".

"I'm not suggesting everyone eat organic food from some high horse in the sky. I'm saying everyone should be able to afford fresh, real food," she added, before calling for equal wage for women.

Paltrow, a 42-year-old mother of two whose lifestyle advice sometimes draws criticism and mockery, announced last week that she had taken up the challenge from her friend celebrity chef  Mario Batali on behalf of the NYC Food Bank.

McCullum, Smith pummel Mumbai Indian

Aakash Chopra: Two Man of the Match awards in three games for Ashish Nehra…well done, mate. Still one of the best Indian pace bowlers. #CSK #IPL

G Rajaraman: Who will stop CSK? And, who will lift Mumbai Indians now? No point blaming their bowlers since they didn’t manage the attack well. #MIvCSK

Dean Jones: The @ChennaiIPL completely , @mipaltan tonight!!! #IPL

Harsha Bhogle: I’m afraid this was a knockout. 183 was not a score to be tossed away nonchalantly. But it was. #CSKvs#MI #PepsiIPL

Freddie Wilde: That was brutal from #CSK. Meanwhile, #MIs bowling was as concerning as their batting. #IPL #MIvCSK

Nehra: ‘I am just working hard. T20 is a format where you don’t get wickets when you are bowling well. It’s important to pick wickets with the new ball. You have to be aggressive if you want to pick wickets. It is a batsman’s game, but I still believe bowlers are the ones who win you matches. If you bowl a good line and length up front, you set the tone. I just try to do the things which I am good at.’

Nehra is the Man of the Match for his bowling figures of 4-0-23-3.

Dhoni: ‘I was more worried about my bowling because it’s a good wicket. We don’t really get surprised if the opposition promotes someone up the order. Bhajji batted well in the last game and maybe that’s why they promoted him. Our plan was to bowl dot balls at him. At times you want to bat first if the unit wasn’t clicking. The reason why we wanted to bowl was because of the dew factor. I felt the first few overs were brilliant from our bowlers. We just want the guys to stay in a positive frame of mind.’
This is a big win for CSK. They’ve made a mockery of a big run chase and won the game with 20 balls to spare. Rohit Sharma and Co. didn’t have answers to the onslaught from McCullum and Smith. The deadly duo muscled the ball to all corners. The fact that even the likes of Malinga was smashed for 33 runs in his first two overs tells about their brutal hitting. Smith completed his fifty off 22 balls and although Harbhajan removed both the openers in the same over, CSK had the match in their bag with the start they got. Raina then got some runs and sealed the game alongside Bravo. CSK were 90/0 in 6 overs, the second best powerplay score in the history of IPL.

Rohit: ‘Pretty disappointed with the way we bowled and our attitude on the field wasn’t right. I thought 183 was a good score, but we didn’t execute our plans with the ball. There’s no way they could score 90 runs in the first six overs. I think that’s where we probably lost the game. We’ve been trying and possibly doing everything but it’s not coming off, but they played well too. At the end of the day you need to get the combination right, that’s what we were trying to do. I know it’s not working out. We know we’ve got to find the right balance. If you don’t win, nothing counts. Pretty disappointed to lose the game. We are not thinking anything right now, relax, take it easy and then think about our next match.’

Pamela Anderson Serves Veggie Meals In US Jail

The actress hopes the eating initiative will be a model for other prisons
Inmates at a prison in Arizona got a shock when Pamela Anderson turned up to serve lunch.

The former Baywatch star and animal rights activist was there to show support for Maricopa County Jail's vegetarian meal programme.

Anderson, who is a spokesperson for the animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), told reporters she was impressed with what she saw.

"I think it's very helpful and encouraging to give people the chance to eat compassionately and make non-violent choices when it comes to their eating habits."

The correction centre in Phoenix stopped serving meat to the more than 8,000 inmates nearly a year and a half ago.

Some have criticises Anderson for aligning herself with Joe Arpaio, America's self-proclaimed "toughest sheriff" and a controversial figure who has been accused of racially profiling Latinos.

But the star focused on the meal initiative, saying she hoped the programme would be a model for prisons across the country.

Sheriff Arpaio said the programme has saved around $200,000 (£135,000) of taxpayer's money per year.

Prisoners are given a peanut butter sandwich with oranges and crackers for brunch and a hot meal of different vegetable and soy dishes for dinner.

The physicist sings the famous Galaxy Song, which is being released digitally this week and will be available on vinyl this weekend as part of Record Store Day 2015.

In the video, the A Brief History Of Time author can be seen whizzing through space in his wheelchair, while the footage is interspersed with scenes of the Monty Python live shows.

One of the cult comedy act's members Eric Idle tweeted to let people know about the record.

He wrote: "Stephen Hawking Sings Monty Python. The Galaxy Song digital download & video has now been released.

"The limited edition 7" vinyls will be on sale on Saturday 18th April in UK and US as part of Record Store Day 2015."

A novelty online game has also been released in which players are invited to "destroy all Monty Python asteroids before they collide with Stephen Hawking".

Pakistan spinner Raza Hassan has tested positive for cocaine and faces a two-year ban from all forms of cricket. The left-armer failed a dope test at a World Anti-Doping Agency accredited laboratory in India after a sample was taken during the Pentangular Cup in Karachi.

Hassan, who has represented his country at one-day international and T20 level, tested positive for the banned recreational drug while playing for Punjab Badshahs.

"The results of the second sample are still awaited but on the basis of the first sample results, the board has already established a two-member committee to chargesheet the spinner and seek an explanation from him," a source close to the Pakistan Cricket Board told the Press Trust of India.

The two-member committee includes former Pakistan Test wicketkeeper Colonel Naushad Ali and a qualified sports medicine doctor.

"The PCB is taking the matter very seriously because this is the first time any player has tested positive for the use of cocaine," the source said.

"If Hassan can't clear himself before the inquiry committee, he faces a two-year ban from all cricket.”

Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar tested positive for steroids in 2006, the same year fellow paceman Mohammad Asif was also banned for steroid use, but the PCB overturned both bans.

Ex-Australia Test spinner Jason Krejza tested positive to cocaine in 2006, but the off-spinner claimed his drink was spiked and further testing revealed no trace of the drug.

Shane Warne was infamously banned for 12 months on the eve of the 2003 Cricket World Cup after testing positive for a banned diuretic which helps increase the removal of water from the body and also acts as a masking agent.

Warne returned a year later and played on until the 5-0 Ashes whitewash in the summer of 2006-07 before retiring as the game’s leading Test wicket-taker.

Madonna Is a Dementor & Other Reactions to Drake's Coachella Surprise,The Internet Thinks

Christopher Polk/Getty Images for Coachella

Let us be the first to say it: Madonna has no chill. In fact she might be the wildest 56-year-old (and mother of four) on the planet. The woman really knows how to turn up, and turn up she did. According to multiple sources (read: everyone who was in attendance), the crowd was just as shocked as Drake was to see the tonsil hockey go down.

But never one to be left out, the Internet has a whole lot of feelings about the, er, incident as well. Twitter blew up as word of the Kiss Heard 'Round the World began to spread. Then the GIFs started. And then came the Dementor comparisons. Yes, the Internet is a cruel, cruel mistress, and isn't going to worry about things like tact or sensitivity when an event of this magnitude goes down.

Ahead is a little sampling that we believe reflects all of our collective feelings on KissGate 2015.

Justin Bieber Issued For Arrest Warrant

An Argentine judge has issued an arrest warrant for Justin Bieber
An arrest warrant has been issued for Justin Bieber in Argentina after the singer failed to respond to summons related to allegations he ordered his bodyguards to attack a photographer.
who issued the warrant, ordered the "immediate detention" of Bieber and bodyguards Hugo Alcides Hesny and Terrence Reche Smalls.

The accusations relate to a 2013 incident outside a Buenos Aires nightclub where Bieber is accused of sending the two bodyguards to attack photographer Diego Pesoa.

Under Argentine law, he would face a jail sentence between one month to six years if convicted on a charge of causing injuries - but the troubled singer never returned to Argentina to face police questions.

It is not clear whether the warrant extends outside Argentina but Mr Pesoa's lawyer spoke to a local television station and implied that the warrant would force Bieber to return to the South American country.
said: "Now we just need to wait for the police to find him and bring him" to Argentina.

"For us, this is a triumph against all those who said this case was a bluff and that we didn't have anything."

Bieber has so far not responded to the warrant being issued.

Kim Kardashian has met the prime minister of Armenia

The star is making a documentary during her eight-day tour
The reality television star,Kim Kardashian husband Kanye West, daughter North and sister Khloe, have booked up two floors of a luxury hotel in the capital Yerevan.

Kardashian was greeted by a huge crowd of fans when the group took a tour of the downtown area.

She had an audience with the country's premier Hovik Abrahamyan, the government press service said.

President Serzh Sarkisian is currently in Italy on a visit that will also see him meet Pope Francis.

Kardashian is reportedly also in the country to make a documentary about the Armenian genocide, ahead of events later this month to mark the centenary of the killings.

Beyond snapping selfies with her fans, she has refused to talk to the press but instead took to social media to express her delight at being in Armenia.

"Armenia we are here!!!!! We are so grateful to be here & start this journey of a lifetime! Thank you to everyone who greeted us! I can't wait to explore our country and have some yummy food!" Kardashian wrote on Instagram.

"My husband and daughter came to Armenia as well to see my heritage and learn about my ancestors! My cousins came along too! So excited I can't sleep."

Kardashian's Armenian ancestors on her father's side emigrated to the United States from an area that now lies in Turkey.

During her eight-day trip, Kardashian and her film crew will visit Yerevan's genocide memorial and Armenia's National Archives to see documents about her ancestors.

She is then to travel to the provincial city of Gyumri where her distant relatives live.

Armenians say up to 1.5 million of their kin were killed between 1915 and 1917 as the Ottoman Empire was falling apart.

They have long sought to win international recognition of the massacres as genocide.

Turkey rejects the claims, arguing that 300,000 to 500,000 Armenians and as many Turks died in civil strife when Armenians rose up against their Ottoman rulers and sided with invading Russian troops.

Ibracadabra! Zlatan Ibrahimovic's magic takes PSG to French Cup final

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a hat-trick in PSG's 4-1 win over Saint-Etienne on Wednesday
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a hat-trick as Paris Saint-Germain thrashed Saint-Etienne 4-1 to reach the French Cup final on Wednesday.

Ibrahimovic took his PSG career tally to 102 goals since joining three years ago, and Argentina winger Ezequiel Lavezzi added the other goal as the capital side advanced to meet Auxerre in the final.

PSG took the lead in the 21st minute from the penalty spot after right back Francois Clerc brought down Lavezzi and Ibrahimovic sent goalkeeper Stephane Ruffier the wrong way.

Saint-Etienne winger Romain Hamouma equalized four minutes later, heading in fellow winger Yohan Mollo's left-wing cross.

But Saint-Etienne missed the chance to take the lead shortly after when former PSG striker Mevlut Erding shot straight at goalkeeper Nicolas Douchez - with Hamouma left unmarked and screaming for the ball.

PSG regained the lead in the 60th minute when Lavezzi headed in Javier Pastore's superb cross from the right.

Ibrahimovic's second goal, which came In the 81st, was the Swedish striker at his best. He ran onto a pass down the left side of the penalty area, fooled Ruffier with a body swerve, then ran around him to collect the ball and smacked it into the net.

After hitting the post, he completed his second PSG hat-trick in three games - and second hat trick of the season against Saint-Etienne - with a clinical low shot that crept inside the right post past Ruffier's despairing dive.

Ibrahimovic has now scored 10 goals in his last six games for club and country, including eight in four for PSG.

It could be the last Ibrahimovic treat for a while. On Thursday he faces a different opponent: the French league's disciplinary commission. He faces up to a four-game ban for an expletive-laced rant at officials following a defeat to Bordeaux last month.

"It's tough but we were vulnerable and we missed too many easy chances," Saint-Etienne captain Loic Perrin said. "It's not normal to lose 4-1. We know they're a good team but we should do better than that."

League leader PSG, which is one point ahead of Lyon in the title race, remains on course for a unique quadruple, and plays Bastia in the League Cup on Sunday before facing Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions league quarterfinals four days later.

Cristiano Ronaldo reaches 300 goals for Real Madrid in Rayo win

Cristiano Ronaldo headed his 300th goal for Real Madrid in a laboured 2-0 La Liga victory at neighbours Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday that kept the gap on leaders Barcelona down to four points.

Fresh from thrashing Granada 9-1, when Ronaldo hit five, the European champions needed a win at Rayo's Vallecas stadium after Barca strolled to a 4-0 home victory over Almeria to open a seven-point advantage over their arch-rivals.

In-form Luis Suarez scored twice and Lionel Messi ended a three-game goal drought, with Marc Bartra also getting on the scoresheet at the Nou Camp.

Real struggled to exert any control over lowly Rayo and missed a host of chances before Ronaldo netted his 37th La Liga goal of the campaign with a header from Dani Carvajal's cross.

The prolific Portugal forward, five clear of Messi at the top of the scoring chart, is the third player after Raul (323) and Alfredo Di Stefano (307) to reach 300 goals for Real, but has needed only 288 matches, compared with Raul's 741 and Di Stefano's 396.

Ronaldo had earlier been booked for a dive in the penalty area and will be suspended for the La Liga game at home to Eibar on Saturday.

James Rodriguez made it 2-0 with a sharp finish from Ronaldo's layoff to lift Real to 70 points, five ahead of third-placed champions Atletico Madrid, who won 2-0 at home to Real Sociedad on Tuesday.

"We tried to pressure them with more intensity high up the pitch but in the first half we were not convincing," Real coach Carlo Ancelotti told a news conference.

"In the second, we were more complete, we played well and we deserved to win," added the Italian.

After edging to a 1-0 win at Celta Vigo on Sunday, Barca dominated Almeria at the Nou Camp to record their 20th victory in 22 matches this year in all competitions.

Messi, who had not scored since his double against Eibar three weeks ago, made it 1-0 in the 33rd minute when he skipped in from the right wing and whipped a left-foot effort inside the far post.

Almeria, who are third from bottom, defended doggedly but conceded again when Suarez netted an almost identical goal 10 minutes into the second half.

Centre back Bartra added a third when he nodded in a Xavi corner with 15 minutes left and Pedro set up Suarez to make it 4-0 in stoppage-time.

"We know that if we don't stay focused in the league we will not get the three points," Suarez said in an interview with Spanish television.

With eight league games left, Barca have a chance of repeating 2009's historic treble under Pep Guardiola, the only time a Spanish side has won the domestic league and Cup and Champions League in the same season.

James Faulkner credit 26-Run Win for Rajasthan Royals

Chasing 163 runs to win, Punjab's reply never really got going and they only managed to reach 136/8 in their 20 overs.

Australia's World Cup hero James Faulkner was Royals' star man was well with James Faulkner innings-pacing knock of 46 runs and then taking 3/26 with the ball.

The  Kings XI Punjab

run chase got off to the worst possible start when Virender Sehwag (0) was out first ball of their innings, edging a Tim Southee delivery to the wicketkeeper.
And their problems compounded further with the quick dismissals of Wriddhiman Saha (7) the dangerous (7).

India test opener Murali Vijay (37) was shaping up nicely to guide the team's run chase but his run out in the nonth over severely dampened their chances from which they simply didn't recover.

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals posted 162/7 against Kings XI Punjab in their 20 overs

Faulkner (46) was the principal run scorer for the Royals while pacer Anureet Singh 3/23 was the pick of the Punjab bowlers.

Punjab captain Australian George Bailey won the toss and invited Royals to bat.

His judgement was justified by his team's bowlers as they struck as early as in the second over when pacer Anureet dismissed India batsman Ajinkya Rahane for zero.

Royals were unable to get over the early jolt and kept losing wicket at regular intervals. Skipper Australian Steven Smith (33) put up some resistance but his compatriot pacer Mitchell Johnson struck twice in the 11th over to seize the initiative and reduce Royals to 75/5 in 10.4 overs.

But the 51-run sixth-wicket partnership of Deepak Hooda (30) and Faulkner resurrected their innings and helped them post a decent total.

A minute's silence and black armbands were worn by the players, match officials and the commentators to pay tribute to the death of the legendary former Australia captain and cricket broadcaster Richie Benaud prior to the start of the match.

Chennai Super Kings won their opening game against Delhi Daredevils by just a single run

Chennai Super Kings won their opening game against Delhi Daredevils by just a single run. Chasing 151 to win, Delhi Daredevils could only manage 149/9 with Albie Morkel remaining unbeaten on a splendid 73 off just 55 balls.

Chennai Super Kings ended their innings at 150/7 after Delhi Daredevils won the toss and invited them to bat. Nathan Coulter-Nile made early in-roads but Dwayne Smith (34) kept the run-rate up. However, the spin-twins of the Daredevils wove their magic and stifled the Super Kings. Faf du Plessis (32) and Ms Dhoni (30) tried their best to infuse some momentum but the Daredevils stuck to their task and restricted the opposition to a chaseable score.

Elated at Kolkata Knight Riders' emphatic victory over Mumbai Indians at the Indian Premier League opening match

SRK, who had brought his three children to the match, acknowledged the public's appreciation for good cricket.

Mr. Mustafa Kamal has quit as International Cricket Council president After World Cup snub and accused the body of acting "unlawfully"

Mr. Mustafa Kamal quits as President after Cricket World Cup

Mr. Kamal says it was his right as the head of the governing body to present the trophy, but ICC chairman Narayanaswami Srinivasan awarded it to the victorious Australian side.
Kamal said his decision came after he was denied the right to present the trophy to winners Australia after Sunday's World Cup final in Melbourne.

He said Bangladesh's 109-run loss appeared to have been "pre-arranged" and there was "no quality in the umpiring" - a claim denied by the ICC.

"The main reason for my resignation is that I can't work with those who can act unconstitutionally and unlawfully," Kamal said on Wednesday.

"These type of people should be away from cricket, otherwise cricket will be spoilt, cricket will not move forward.

He said,"I'm sure people will find out why I have resigned and they will unearth the truth - who are these people, what are they doing, and how they are running ICC."
The ICC president has become a largely honorary position since changes to the ICC constitution in 2014 handed control to the so-called 'Big Three' nations of England, India and Australia.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said it was “unfortunate and odd” that Mr. Kamal was not allowed to hand over the trophy. “It looked odd that he was barred from his rightful responsibility,” she was quoted as saying. by newspapers.

KKR sign Johan Bothaas and Azhar Mahmood as replacements

Johan Botha has been brought in as cover for Shakib Al Hasan, who will be with Bangladesh at the time of the IPL © AFP
Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders have named all-rounders Azhar Mahmood and Johan Botha as replacements for James Neesham and Chris Lynn, both of whom will be missing the eighth season of the IPL, scheduled to start on April 8, due to injuries. While a hamstring tear has sidelined Lynn for 10 weeks, Neesham hasn’t yet completely recovered from an unnamed injury. Though raw, Lynn and Neesham, both 24 years old, are among the finest talents in world cricket now.

Neesham, who failed to make New Zealand's World Cup squad, has not regained match fitness after an unspecified injury. He had played four matches for Delhi Daredevils in 2014, was let go and later bought by Knight Riders for Rs 50 lakh during the auction in February.

Lynn was ruled out for 10 weeks after a hamstring problem in the Sheffield Shield earlier this month. He equalled the record for the fastest fifty in the Big Bash League and finished ninth on the charts with 243 runs at a strike rate of 148.17. His first-class season had begun with a shoulder concern, but they were laid to rest during a double-century against Victoria in Brisbane. With form behind him, Lynn could have filled the vacancy left by Jacques Kallis, who retired from all forms of the game last year.
Mahmood's vast experience - he has played 213 T20s - and knowledge of Indian conditions worked in his favour. He has played two seasons in the IPL for Kings XI Punjab - 2012 and 2013 - and made 382 runs at a strike-rate of 129.05. In 22 matches, he has also taken 29 wickets at an economy rate of 7.61.

Botha, who played three seasons with Rajasthan Royals and then turned out for Daredevils in 2013, was picked by the coach Trevor Bayliss as cover for allrounder Shakib Al Hasan, who will miss a part of the IPL due to national commitments since Bangladesh are scheduled to host Pakistan from April 15.

Botha had an average BBL as a bowler, but as captain he led Adelaide Strikers into the semi-final. "He is the Shakib type of player," Mysore said. "Whenever Shakib is unavailable Botha fits in in with similar skills."

Shakib is likely to play the first two matches at Eden Gardens - the tournament opener against Mumbai Indians on April 8 and three days later against Royal Challengers Bangalore. "He will play as many games as possible before and after the Pakistan tour," Mysore said. "BCB has been most cooperative with us and keeping mind the Pakistan schedule he will be allowed to play to the extent possible."
Venky Mysore, the Knight Riders chief executive, admitted losing Lynn and Neesham was untimely, but was confident that Mahmood and Botha would excel.
